Rachel Besse is Director of Reimbursement & Health Policy at Magnolia Market Access. Rachel has 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical consulting, delivering best-in-class strategies to stakeholders across the industry. Her experience includes work in the health policy, reimbursement, public health, and health education spaces.
Rachel views her work in market access through a health equity lens. She has supported the development of resources aimed to improve the affordability and accessibility of prescription drugs and to help manufacturers provide more comprehensive and effective healthcare services. She has extensive experience developing patient-, provider-, and field support team-facing tools (educational programs, trainings, reimbursement guides) to optimize access to life-saving medications.
Rachel’s areas of focus include health policies and legislative efforts affecting the Medicare program (ie, the Inflation Reduction Act), 340B program, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), biosimilars, and organ transplantation.
Rachel received a Master of Public Health with a concentration in health policy and management from Yale University and a Bachelor of Science in environmental public health from The Ohio State University.
